THE ANCHOR ZONE

Happy New Year to each and everyone of you out there.  Here's hoping you had a great beginning to an awesome year yet to come. I'm praying that as we keep our eyes focused on the Lord, we'll accomplish what He wants us to do each and every day.

This is the time of year people make those wonderful resolutions,  trying to eat less and work off those pounds they put on over the holidays. I've never really set any expectations on myself for things like that because I know, nine times out of ten, I'll fail.  This year however, I am challenging myself to get better at blogging.

People also begin thinking on end time scenarios, especially with things being seen all around us. The weather, wars and rumors of wars, frequency of earthquakes around the world, the politics of the world governments and Israel etc. Fear creeps in and we focus on, what will we do and what's going to happen.  As I was having quiet time and reading my devotions, I ran across an article that spoke on this subject.  Here's an excerpt from author, Rick Renner, entitled, "A Special Message About Living in the Last Days."
For God hath not given us the spirit of fear:
but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
2 Timothy 1:17
Living in the last days requires that we have a greater sensitivity to the Spirit of God.  Romans 8:14 declares that one of the privileges of being a son of God is that the Spirit of God leads us.

In these last days, we must be led by the Holy Spirit.  However, the Holy Spirit will lead us only if we give Him this right. Oh, how many times the Spirit of God has wanted to be our Leader, but we went our own way and ultimately suffered the consequences! He knew exactly how to lead us past every attack. He knew how to avoid each strategy of the devil.

Jesus said that the Holy Spirit would "...shew you things to come"  (John 16:13).  The Greek word is odegeo and is the word for a guide who shows a traveler the safest course through an unknown country.  This means the Holy Spirit is our Guide. He knows the way we should go. He understands how to avoid every trap and obstacle along the way. When we are going into an area we've never been before, the Holy Spirit wants to show us how to take the safest route.  He knows exatly how to get us safely to our future point of destination. The Holy Spirit knows the future and wants to enlighten us with all the information we need in every situation.l This is part of His ministry to you and me.

As we obey the Word of God and listen to the Holy Spirit's leading, we will have wisdom to know every step we need to take in the days ahead.  All we have to do is obey God's instructions, and He guarantees us blessing and provision even in difficult times.  But if we try to take another approach, there is no guarantee for us to claim.  We must do what God says if we want to be assured of His divine blessing and protection.

I want to encourage you to increase your level of faith, especially if you are facing challenging times. Stand on the Word of God; exercise your faith; listen to the Holy Spirit; and obey what He tells you to do. As you do these things, God's supernatural blessings will kick into action, and you will soon find a river of supernatural provision flowing to youl

There is no doubt that we are living in some of the most challenging days the world has ever seen.  But you can face these times victoriously because  God has given you a sound mind; He has given you the promises of His Word; and He has given you the leadership of His Spirit.  Never has there been a more curcial time for you to operate in faith and not fear and to believe for a mighty move of God to take place on this earth!

The Anchor Zone

Well, my friends, what are we going to do to make today  better  for those in our sphere of influence? How are we going to spend our energy?

Seems the dark wants us to stay focused on the dark... that's his only play, Let's choose not to join in.

For today, let's give each other a smile, a hand, a prayer. Let's refuse to defend or accuse. Let's allow our love to be real.  Want to change the world? Stop biting at the tactics of the enemy and start living in the grace of God.

As we receive His unmerited, undeserved grace, we are able to allow that same grace to flow from us.  We can only give from our overflow.

Or one may say, garbage in, garbage out. Turn off the news, turn off Facebook if you must. Turn off the noise of the world.

Choose to take love, forgiveness, patience, kindness, peace in so that we can give love, forgiveness, patience, kindness, and peace out.

Let's don't be so incensed by lies and misrepresentation others are speaking over us. Let's be invigorated by the Truth, the Only One,
the Most High God is speaking over us and into us.

Peace in y'all, it's the only way to give peace out.

The Anchor Zone

Confession:  When I said that I would do this blog, I immediately had remorse, because never in my life have I  kept a journal or have written a blog.  Realizing that I need to be transparent before all of  you, I began to panic. As I rely on God to feed me the words to place on this blog, it's my hope that you'll join me in this endevour and grow with me on this journey.

Let's talk declarations.  It's important that we speak God's word over our lives instead of falling victim to  the negative thoughts that sometimes come blurting  out our mouths so naturally.  Words have power and more power than we give them credit. My sister, Nancy Williford has been practicing speaking out declarations over her life for years.  She's a beautiful example of what God can do through speaking His words over your life.

Here is one of her declarations.  It's from Deuteronomy 28:1-13.

I declare today that I will diligently listen to Your voice Lord, my God. I am watchful to receive, experience, and thank You for all Your prophetically spoken words over me. You will set me on high above all nations.  All these blessings have come upon me and are overtaking me as I listen and move as Your voice directs me.  I am blessed in the city and I am blessed in my job! My children are blessed!  My business is blessed! I am blessed with more than enough for myself and those I am called to serve. I am blessed when I come in and I'm blessed when I go out! You Lord cause my enemies who rise up against me to be defeated before my face; they will come out against me one way and flee before me seven ways!

You Lord have prophetically spoken a blessing upon me in my bank accounts and in all that I undertake! You bless me in the land which You have given me. You Lord, have established me as holy unto Yourself as You have sworn to me. I receive, keep and cling to Your prophetically spoken word and walk as You direct me.  All the people of the earth shall see that I am called by Your name and live in Your presence and they shall be afraid of harming me.

You Lord have made me to have a surplus of prosperity, through the fruit of my body, my business and the land You have given me.

You have opened up Your good treasury.  The heavens give rain to me in season to bless the work of my hands. I lend to many but I shall not borrow.

You Lord make me the head and not the tail; I am above only and not beneath as I heed Your prophetically spoken words over me and I am watchful to move as you direct.

Be blessed,
Robbie Hubbard
